Do you still remember the Ja Boet, Ja Swaer television commercials that introduced three wacky characters way back in the late 80's? Yes, Boet, Swaer and Moegae and their Kalahari Oasis became well known in the Castrol advertisements. These three will are back with their uniquely South African humour, this time on the big screen in an all new quirky comedy, slated to hit theatres in across South Africa on August 2nd, 2013. Ian Roberts (Boet), Norman Anstey (Swaer) and the late Fats Bookholane (Moegae) will return in this dyed in the wool home-grown comedy. The three men had to grow with the times and now they are joined by the beautiful advertising agency worker, Mia Moolman (Tammy-Anne Fortuin) and Neef (Zander Tyler, or better known by his stage name Jack Parow), and a new addition to the Kalahari Oasis. The ensemble embark on a road trip from the Oasis Bush Pub to Emperor's Palace and on this journey things at times go haywire. The story of Babalas is fresh and hilariously funny as one can expect with characters like these. The film also stars Hannes Muller in multiple roles, Wynand van Vollenstee, Hugh Masebenza, and cameos by Michael de Pinna, Neels van Jaarsveld and Dawie Roodt.
